We had Boise Wednesday on Monday this week. We were planning to go to the zoo with a friend today, but our friend had to cancel. By the time I read her text, the kids were ready to go and Everly knew where we were going, so we had to go. It was kind of nice to go by myself with my kids and take as much time as we wanted. It was ridiculously hot today, but the Boise Zoo is very shaded, so it wasn't too bad. After the zoo, we walked over to the rose garden to smell the roses.
We enjoyed all of the animals except for the butterflies. I had no idea Everly would be so terrified of them. The butterfly house has SO many butterflies. It's hard to get through there without stepping on, sitting on, or running into one. Everly cried the whole way through. Then at the end, you have to wait in line to get out, so we couldn't even leave.
You can see how hot and tired my baby was. I tried to keep her in the stroller, blocked from the sun, but she was still so sweaty and red.
Butterflies: Beautiful or terrifying?
